Competency Framework

Public Service Academy courses and programs are aligned to a national competency framework so that learning supports role readiness, career progression, and organisational capability. The framework is used to recommend courses, track gaps, and report on workforce development.

How it works

• Competency areas — Grouped by function (e.g. leadership, ethics, data, finance) and level
• Course tagging — Each course is mapped to one or more competencies so learners and admins can target development
• Pathways and programs — Curated sequences of courses that build toward a role or certification
• Gap analysis — Supervisors and HR can see team competency coverage and assign learning to close gaps
